Privacy Policy & Information Notice
Last updated: September 2026. This policy outlines how MENUMAKE collects, processes, protects, and handles information across our platform.
1. Information We Collect
We collect information solely to provide, secure, and operate the Platform services effectively:
- Restaurant Account Data: Owner name, business email address, encrypted account password, restaurant WhatsApp phone number, commercial business name, menu categories, dish details, pricing, and uploaded food images.
- Technical & Device Telemetry: Browser type, operating system (iOS/Android), device class, and coarse geographic IP country/city to automatically serve the appropriate currency (SAR, KWD, USD) and interface language.
- Diner & End-Consumer Data: We DO NOT collect or store diners' names, phone numbers, or credit cards on our databases. Diners' orders are converted into a WhatsApp text string dispatched directly to the restaurant's phone.
2. How We Use Information & Platform Discretion
MENUMAKE utilizes the collected information for the following operational and administrative purposes:
- To provision, host, and render your digital menu and QR codes.
- To manage restaurant subscriptions, send administrative alerts, and provide customer support.
- To monitor server load, prevent cyber attacks, and maintain 99.9% platform availability.
- To generate anonymous, aggregated analytical metrics for service improvement.
3. Financial Data & Payment Security (Zero Card Storage)
MENUMAKE does NOT process, collect, or store any credit card numbers, CVVs, or bank account credentials on our servers. Subscription activations are arranged directly via official WhatsApp administration, wire transfers, or certified third-party payment gateways complying with international PCI-DSS security standards.
4. Third-Party Platforms (WhatsApp & External Links)
When customers choose to submit an order via WhatsApp, they leave the MENUMAKE web environment and transition into WhatsApp (owned by Meta Platforms, Inc.). Messages sent inside WhatsApp are subject entirely to WhatsApp's End-to-End Encryption and Meta's independent Privacy Policy. MENUMAKE cannot inspect, read, alter, or retain WhatsApp chat histories.
5. Cookies & Local Browser Storage
We use minimal cookies and local browser storage (localStorage) strictly to preserve essential user preferences, such as: (a) dark/light visual theme; (b) preferred language (Arabic/English); and (c) preferred active display currency (SAR/KWD/USD). We do not deploy intrusive third-party cross-site advertising tracking cookies.
6. Non-Disclosure & Strict No-Sale Commitment
MENUMAKE categorically pledges that we NEVER sell, lease, monetize, or trade restaurant or user data to marketing agencies, data brokers, or commercial third parties under any condition. Data is disclosed only if strictly required by binding legal process or law enforcement court orders.
7. Security Protocols & Technical Safeguards
We enforce industry-standard security safeguards, including HTTPS/TLS 256-bit cryptographic encryption, firewalls, and server isolation to protect against unauthorized access or alteration. However, users acknowledge that no electronic transmission or cloud storage is 100% impenetrable, and MENUMAKE cannot guarantee absolute immunity from advanced cyber risks beyond reasonable commercial controls.
8. Policy Updates & Continuous Acceptance
MENUMAKE reserves full authority to modify this Privacy Policy at any juncture. Any modifications become binding immediately upon publication on this page. Continuing to use the Platform following updates constitutes your conclusive acceptance of the revised terms.
